So the situation is as follows: Helen, age 18, is hurt because some guys pushed her to the icy ground when she went to the grocery store. She makes a furious Facebook status update about it using strong language, and what happens?

Her fortysomething aunt, Rina, decides to to take the mature approach and comments on the strong language:'

”Helen, always thinking about fucking. Shouldn’t you already grow up and clean out your mouth. And no use going whine Suzy about this comment!”

By ”mature”, I obviously mean ”what the everloving fuck”.

I mean, it’s not that Helen is completely aware of the fact that she swore heavily in her status update.

It’s not even that the last comment is completely inane considering her precious little daughter Suzy has been bullying Helen for two years.

It’s that an adult has no place making inappropiate, sexually loaded comments to barely legal teenagers. It’s skeevy. This adult isn’t a friend who can share inappropiate jokes with Helen. This adult has a higher social status than Helen. This adult is a relative, and supposed to be one of the safe adults in Helen’s social sphere.

And then she goes an makes charged comments like that.

I’m side-eyeing you SO HARD right now, Rina.

I mean, what the fuck.

So far I've only gotten through three novels, but I'm already noticing some general tropes. I need to do more research before I can make a proper blog post about it, though. Bring on the books, tapiiri.

NOBODY, that's who. So I'm going to start cluttering this up with all kinds of media because I'm feeling a deep, deep vitutus at my complete inability to get off my lazy, globular ass and start scanning. My scanner doesn't even work when the planets aren't aligned just right, so there. :P

Wacom Inkling

So yeah. Our super awesome teacher let us play with his new toy and somehow I managed to draw somewhat legible pictures while the others' super fantastic drawings ended up as squiggles.

Super simple instructions for the Inkling:
1. Draw far enough from the machine
2. Don't draw too far from the machine
3. Hold the pen so that the tip stays in contact with the machine.
The tip = the bit with the white parts underneath the black.
4. Don't draw too fast.

I understand certain failed artists a bit better...
